Chester is set to welcome its newest social space this Autumn as the highly anticipated Rooftop Social Club announces they’ll open their doors this October.

Located in the heart of the city, Rooftop Social Club will see the top 2 levels of Pepper Street’s multi-storey car park transformed into a unique all-day dining and socialising spot. The all-weather venue will feature a retractable roof, heated cabanas and a fully accessible layout, making it the perfect destination for any occasion, come rain or shine.

With capacity for up to 300 guests, Rooftop Social Club is the latest venture from the seasoned hospitality operators, iKO Projects. The venue promises a wide range of games and activities that will appeal to guests of all ages, including cornhole, curling, and pétanque. Additionally, seasonal events like open-air cinema evenings, artisan markets and yoga sessions will ensure there’s always something new to enjoy. Beyond its regular offerings, the venue will also be available for private functions, making it an ideal choice for events, parties, and celebrations.

Food and drink enthusiasts can also look forward to an extensive selection of offerings. The venue will feature four independent Chester-based street food traders, offering a diverse selection of dishes. The drinks menu, curated by the team behind the popular city-centre iKO Events bar Liquor & Co, promises to be just as enticing.

The space, which will also welcome pop-ups from local businesses, charities and community events will create more than 40 new jobs within the local area, with applications opening in the next month via their website.

“After extensive planning we’re thrilled to bring Rooftop Social Club to Chester and create something new and exciting for the city,” said Ian Gordon, Director of iKO Projects. “Our goal is to create a space where everyone feels welcome, whether you’re here for a quick bite, a celebratory event or a relaxing day out with the family. We can’t wait to open our doors and start welcoming guests this autumn.”

The proposal was developed with Grosvenor’s Eaton Estate, which manages and works to improve a range of agricultural, residential and commercial properties in rural Cheshire and parts of Chester city centre. Nigel Driver, Head of Commercial Property Management, Grosvenor’s Eaton Estate said: “Rooftop Social Club will provide a unique experience for people in Chester to enjoy, enhancing the city’s offering and contributing to its economic vibrancy.”

To stay updated on the latest news and events, guests are encouraged to sign up to Rooftop Social Club’s mailing list here and follow @rooftopsocial.club on Instagram to be the first to hear about launch plans and how to book.
