On Tuesday 12th May 2026 a full house of private sector representatives met with the team from Liverpool City Region to prepare for UK REiiF.

Liverpool City Region will take its largest ever delegation to the UK’s premier property festival in Leeds next week, and delegates were keen to learn about the opportunities to promote schemes, network with decision makers and engage with peers from across the country.

Colin Sinclair, CEO of Sciontec, Knowledge Quarter Liverpool and Chair of Invest Liverpool City Region told the delegates that ‘public /private partnerships’ were the power behind the city region’s economic growth.

Speakers included Liverpool City Region CEO Katherine Fairclough and Head of Investment Gavin Quinn who told the audience ‘inward investment is a year-round ambition and opportunity’ and highlighted a number of events and engagements in the weeks and months ahead, including Downtown in Business Parliamentary Receptions, Mersey Power Towns and investment networking at 2026 Open Championship held this year at Royal Birkdale.

Martin Liptrot, Downtown’s delegate attendee said:

“The private sector is solid in its support of the city, city region and local authorities’ ambitions to grow the economy and attract new investment and business opportunities.

“UK REiiF is one such opportunity to showcase those abilities, expertise and opportunities in our city regions and to put ourselves on the national and world stage for investment.

“As the Northwest’s largest private business network, our members, partners and sponsors are keen to echo and amplify the Mayors and Council Leaders’ positive messages and illustrate them with success stories from across the region.”
