The Liverpool Hospitality Association is excited to announce the return of their People Awards for 2024.

The awards, in association with Saffron Vanilla and Liverpool ONE, are a chance to celebrate the talented individuals at the heart of Liverpool’s bustling hospitality and retail industry. The event is a chance to shine a light on and honour the unsung heroes who demonstrate dedication, resilience, and commitment in an industry that has faced unprecedented challenges over the last few years.

The event will feature 17 categories and is set to take place on Thursday, 9th May 2024 at the Titanic Hotel and Rum Warehouse, bringing together the best and brightest of the region’s hospitality industry. Award categories include ‘Rising Star’ and ‘Unsung Hero’, as well as the Judges and Chairman’s awards that aren’t open for entry but recognise inspirational figures from within the sector. New for 2024 is the ‘Excellence in Retail’ award which will highlight an individual who is a true champion of delivering consistently great customer service.

Steven Hesketh, Vice-Chair of Liverpool Hospitality Association said: “Amidst the challenges and triumphs of our ever-evolving hospitality and retail landscape, the People Awards give us a chance to highlight the exceptional individuals and teams who fuel our industry’s resilience and innovation. I am proud to witness the unwavering commitment and passion displayed by our members. These awards are not just a recognition but a celebration of the heart and soul of Liverpool’s hospitality industry and we hope as many businesses as possible will join us in applauding the remarkable people that make Liverpool’s hospitality sector truly exceptional.”

Stephen Ramsden, director of platinum sponsor Saffron Vanilla added “As a local agency that provides staff for the hospitality sector, we are absolutely thrilled to be sponsoring the People Awards for the second year in a row! We hope to build on last year’s success and honour Liverpool’s hospitality and retail workforce. If this year is anything like last year, it’s going to be one hell of an event.”

Donna Howitt, Place Strategy Director at award sponsor, Liverpool ONE, said: “Liverpool is known for its excellent hospitality, customer service and warm welcome. Whether it’s a weekend visit, a day out with the family or a casual meal after work, the hospitality sector plays an important role in the overall customer experience a visitor has of a destination. We’re thrilled to sponsor the Liverpool Hospitality People Awards, recognising the outstanding talent across the sector. We also welcome the new retail category as part of the awards this year.”
