Sedulo’s Empowered women – Empower women event

Sedulo are hosting their 'Empowered Women Empower Women' event on Friday 21st October in Manchester.

Join us as we hear about the journeys to success and challenges faced by four incredible female founders and business leaders across a range of sectors.

✨Guests on our panel include:

💫 Tina Rehana, Founder and CEO of AIM Sky High and The Purpose Agency. Named #1 Female Founder of colour to watch in Europe by Business Insider.

💫 Seema Malhotra, Founder of premium clothing brand Forever Unique and star of Real Housewives of Cheshire.

💫 Katherine Jones, Founder of 2 high growth companies, drinks brand ThinK Wine and influencer marketing agency Social Nation.

💫 Cathryn Wright, Managing Director of Sedulo and former MD of the largest LGBTQ+ rights organisation in Europe, Stonewall.

The event includes a panel talk, live Q&A session and then networking with a free bar and canapés.

All proceeds from the afternoon event will contribute towards our period poverty appeal, as we aim to empower the next generation of powerful women – starting by ensuring they have access to the basic sanitary products they need.

Currently 1 in 10 girls in the UK can’t afford to buy menstrual products and, as a result, their school attendance suffers. Over the course of a year, nearly 140,000 children in the UK miss out on a complete education because of period poverty.

We believe that in order to reach their full potential, all girls should have access to the basic products they require throughout their menstrual cycle.

The full cost of a ticket for our Empowered Women event will go towards to the Sedulo Period Poverty appeal where we are donating a year’s worth of sanitary products to girls across the UK. There will also be a product and money donation point at the event.
