Festival Chairman Urges County Business Leaders to Back Major Event

Lancashire business leaders came together for a special Downtown event this week, where the Chairman of the International Business Festival, Max Steinberg, outlined the programme for the biggest business event in the UK this year.

The three-week, government-backed festival, will be hosted in Liverpool from 12th June.

Over 100 countries will be represented at the event, alongside entrepreneurs and decision-makers from across the UK.

Steinberg said:

“For businesses looking to export, this is a must-attend event. For companies who want investment, there is an opportunity for you to pitch to investors from across the globe. For those SMEs who want to do businesses across the UK, there is an opportunity. If you just want to hear from inspirational speakers, the Festival is the place for you.”

On Wednesday 13th June, Downtown in Business will be hosting the ‘Devolution, Innovation & the Business Effect’ conference as part of the Festival. Speakers include property entrepreneur Tom Bloxham of Urban Splash, business leader Mark Mills, and the key architect of the first devolution deal, Sir Howard Bernstein. Regional mayors from across the country will also address the Downtown event.
