Liverpool City Region’s leading social care charity, Nugent is celebrating success after being recognised at the Social Care Top 30 and Social Care Premier Suppliers Awards.
Jo Henney, CEO of Nugent, has been named on the Social Care Top 30 list; her position in the top 10 puts her as the number one ranked regional CEO and the number two ranked female above peers from across the social care sector.
Jo has been revolutionary in Nugent’s growth, implementing Nugent’s charitable initiative ‘Our Future Now’, becoming a Real Living Wage employer and achieving a financial surplus for the first time in a decade.
Meanwhile, Kevin Williams, Director of Governance, Performance, and Office of the CEO at Nugent, accepted an award at The Social Care Premier Suppliers Awards on behalf of Nugent’s governance team.
Nugent’s governance team, which acts as a highly respected and valuable consultant to the charity’s 18 services, won the ‘Consultancies’ category at the glittering ceremony hosted by BBC Breakfast’s Jon Kay at the London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square on 15th October.
Part of the governance team’s pivotal work that contributed to the award includes devising and implementing the framework that achieved ISO 9001:2015 certification, bringing its quality management system to international standard, and achieving two ‘Outstanding’ ratings from Ofsted for its secure children’s home and one of its newest children’s homes.
Speaking about the Premier Suppliers Award, Kevin Williams, Director of Governance, Performance, and Office of the CEO at Nugent, said:
“This national recognition highlights the transformational impact and commitment to excellence of our governance team, alongside Nugent’s dedication to providing a lifelong pathway of care and support for individuals and communities in need, from birth through to end of life.
“Winning this award inspires us to continue pushing boundaries and delivering exceptional service so that everyone has the opportunity to lead a life of dignity, purpose and fulfilment.”
The Social Care Top 30 list recognises real leadership and excellence in the sector and includes key national and regional influencers and decision makers.
Jo Henney, CEO at Nugent, added:
“I am delighted to be placed in the top 10 at the national Social Care Top 30 Awards.
“As a Merseyside based charity, it is testament to the ambition, resilience, and dedication of our incredible colleagues that Nugent has been recognised and can proudly sit alongside large national social care providers, influencers, and decision makers.
