David Newton (Archover), Steve Walker (ART Business Loans) and Paul Kalinauckas (BCRS) shared their experience and guidance at the ‘Access to Finance – Ask the Experts?’ event which was chaired by Stuart Wood (Woodshires) at Alpha Works.

The disruption of tech on the finance sector was a key topic of discussion. The issues surrounding missing payments and algorithms punishing you, having to negotiate online offers to find the best for your business and a faster process via the internet were all discussed.

The question of whether the convenience and speed of accessing finance online compared to a personal touch from a financial advisor, who can go in and assess businesses, was also an area of debate.
