Downtown in Business has added four new recruits to the team in 2021 – as it gets ready to relaunch a sparkling live events programme from May.

Lauren English, formerly at the Hilton Hotel, joined the company as the Sales Executive for Liverpool in January. She will work alongside Business Consultant Lee Stanley, who was previously at the Liverpool Chamber of Commerce.

And next month the DIB teams in Birmingham and Manchester will be strengthened. Lauren Hinks has been appointed to the Sales Executive role in Manchester, whilst KJ Clarke takes on this role in Birmingham.

DIB Director Chris McKenna said:

“I am delighted to welcome Lauren, Lee, Lauren and KJ to the team. They are all talented individuals, who will make a valuable contribution to our work moving forward.

“We have ambitious growth plans for the remainder of this year and beyond, with a really strong live events programme ready to go across the country from May onwards.

“That includes awards dinners in Manchester, Birmingham, and Liverpool and our first national Planning, Property & Regeneration conference which takes place at the Belfry in September.

“We are coming off the back of a record quarter sales-wise as well, so we are seeing real evidence that there is a huge appetite from businesses and entrepreneurs to get out and about again, build their pipeline and connect with a new network of people.”
