Glass half-full as hospitality sector looks forward to toasting a permanent re-opening from June

A group of hospitality leaders from across the country came together for the latest Downtown Den event

A group of hospitality leaders from across the country came together for the latest Downtown Den event yesterday, when personalities representing hotels, bars, restaurants, pubs, clubs, sporting events, and arenas reflected on their experiences and challenges over the past twelve months – and their hopes for the future as the UK finally has a roadmap out of lockdown.

Whilst some were less optimistic about the government being able to deliver on the timescales they have outlined, most expressed confidence that venues and live events will be back in June – and that there is an appetite among customers to get out and about.

Contributors to the discussion were Anita Champeneri (Delicious PR), Martin Greenhow (Mojo Bars), Andrew Strugnell (Arc Inspirations), Kerry Mulloy (ACC Liverpool), Tomas Maunier (Fazenda), John Angus (Park Regis, Birmingham), Karina Jadhav (Menagerie),, and Alex Claridge (The Wilderness Restaurant).
