Despite the challenges glass still half full for Birmingham

Acknowledging the challenges of an economy in technical recession, and the trials and tribulations of Birmingham City Council, Neil Rami was still upbeat about the prospects of the region in the coming months and years.

The chief executive of the West Midlands Growth Company, Neil Rami, was the guest speaker at an exclusive Downtown in Business dinner, hosted at the Fazenda Restaurant in Birmingham on Tuesday 5th March 2024.

Acknowledging the challenges of an economy in technical recession, and the trials and tribulations of Birmingham City Council, Mr Rami was still upbeat about the prospects of the region in the coming months and years.

Citing the positive legacy of the Commonwealth Games, a healthy pipeline of Foreign Direct Investment, and the progress that is being made through the work of the regions Universities, in collaboration with private sector firms such as Bruntwood SciTech, the Growth Company boss was able to evidence a positive future for Birmingham and the wider West Midlands.

The next Downtown in Business Birmingham event will take place on Wednesday 24th April 2024, when Philip Nell, the Director of Property & Investment at Birmingham City Council will be the guest speaker.
