Flights from Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA) to Shannon in the west of Ireland returned this weekend with the first departure of Ryanair’s latest route from Liverpool on Saturday evening.
Flights last operated to Shannon from Liverpool in 2014 and Ryanair now operate 3 times weekly on Saturdays, Mondays and Wednesdays until the end of October.
This is Ryanair’s 4th Irish service from Liverpool, in addition to Dublin (4 daily), Cork (4 weekly) and Knock (5 weekly). Ryanair’s Liverpool Summer 2018 schedule will feature 33 routes and carry approximately 2 million passengers per year.
To celebrate its new Liverpool-Shannon route, Ryanair has released seats for sale from £9.99, for travel in June, which are only available for booking on Ryanair.com until midnight Monday (21 May).
Robin Tudor, Head of PR for Liverpool John Lennon Airport commented, “This latest addition to Ryanair’s growing network of routes from Liverpool brings a welcome return of flights to Shannon linking Liverpool to this part of Ireland once again, with passengers from across the North West able to take advantage of a Faster, Easier, Friendlier start to their journey by flying direct from Liverpool.”
