Harrison Drury has further strengthened its team with a flurry of key appointments across the firm.

Matthew Astley has been given a position in the employment and regulatory team after qualifying as a solicitor upon completing his two-year training contract with the firm.

As well as his role in the employment and regulatory team, Matthew is also the co-founder and joint head of the firm’s growing sports law team.

Roger Spence, head of the employment and regulatory team, said: “Congratulations to Matthew for becoming our latest qualified solicitor. He’s a sharp, enthusiastic lawyer with a great attitude who will be a valuable asset to our clients.”

Meanwhile, property litigation specialist Hayley Bamber has joined the firm as a solicitor in the property and construction team.

She previously worked for several large regional firms and advises commercial clients on a full range of property and land disputes.

Colin Fenny, head of the property litigation team, said: “Hayley has a deep understanding of the property sector and works closely with her clients to resolve disputes. She’s a great addition to the team.”

Hayley Bamber has joined the property litigation team, headed by Colin Fenny.

The firm has also moved to strengthen its operations team, recruiting Maxine Blake as HR manager and Martin Holmes as IT manager.

Maxine brings a wealth of experience to the firm having previously led and developed group HR functions for large multinational companies. This included the management and leadership of various multi-million-pound turnover businesses.

Martin has 15 years’ experience in IT roles in both the private and public sector. At Harrison Drury, he is responsible for the long-term strategy and vision for the firm’s IT and also oversees day-to-day IT operations.
