The Stars of Stick ‘n’ Step Awards 2021 took place on Friday 21st May as an interactive virtual extravaganza, where leading UK waste management company, B&M Waste Services was proud to present the B&M Inspiration Award to Harry Edwards.

The annual awards provide the opportunity for the 18-year-old Northwest charity that supports children with cerebral palsy and their families, to recognize, reward and thank its supporters; the people, groups and organisations that go above and beyond, contributing their time, energy and donations to Stick ‘n’ Step every year. This year MC Mark Jones announced the finalists and winners for the 10 award categories, interspersed with games, prizegiving and music.

The shortlisted nominees for the B&M Inspiration Award were Emily Riley, Viki & Max Clayton and Harry Edwards whose personalities, determination, commitment and perseverance have shone through this year.

Graeme Knight, B&M Director, presented the award to Harry and offered his congratulations and words of encouragement to the deserving nominees, adding: “Emily, Viki, Max and Harry – you are all winners tonight and we are delighted to present this award that celebrates your amazing achievements this year.”

Samantha Lee, Interim Head of Fundraising at Stick ‘n’ Step commented: “After some very difficult conversations, our wonderful judges shortlisted the final nominees for our awards. There were so many amazing people and companies to choose from. We thank everyone who fundraised, volunteered, attended, worked and spread awareness about Stick ‘n’ Step within the community. Together they have enabled children living with cerebral palsy to access conductive education that focuses on each child’s potential, nurturing their development and devising structured programmes to help them succeed.”
