Dixons Newall Green Academy – Social Value Construction Academy – March 2025
The Construction Academy, hosted with Skills Construction Centre at Dixons Academy, provided 10 NEETs with the opportunity to explore construction as a career. Over 12 weeks, participants received site tours, training in trades such as bricklaying and groundwork, employability skills, and a four-week work placement. All graduates have now joined Morgan Sindall’s labour desk, with a neurodiverse student, Harley, securing full-time work. A second Construction Academy will begin at Star Radcliffe imminently.

An outcome from the Construction Academy above, 17 year old Harley, who has neurodiverse conditions, including autism and ADHD, has secured full time employment with dry lining subcontractor SCS.
Groundwork The Message Community Garden
Morgan Sindall invested £10k with Groundwork to create a vegetable garden at The Message in Wythenshawe. This community initiative, involving volunteer work and material donations, will serve as a lasting resource. The Message, which began as a ministry in Manchester schools, now supports ex-offenders and communities in tough neighbourhoods, creating transformative opportunities.

Star Radcliffe Academy – New Project Start on Site – April 2025
This exciting project for Star Academies and Bury Council, procured via the Department for Education construction framework, is the first new school in Radcliffe in 10 years. The facility comprises a Five-form entry, 11-16 secondary school, Three storey, 6,000m2 building, 700+ school places, Net Zero in Operation and Extensive external work, A ground breaking ceremony was held to mark the start of works with Morgan Sindall staff joined by representatives from the Department for Education, Bury Council and Star Academies, and the pupils of the school.

UCLAN Vet School Hands Over – 30th May 2025
Morgan Sindall Construction has completed its work at the landmark new veterinary facilities at the University of Lancashire. The new state-of-the-art building, one of only 11 veterinary schools in the country, will provide a state-of-the-art centre of learning for students studying a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across veterinary and animal sciences.

Targeted at women receiving support from Lancashire Women in Preston, this six-week pilot scheme empowered participants with DIY knowledge through sessions led by professionals within our supply chain.
Accrington Town Square – Social Value – November 2024 A part time position onsite to support Chris’s personal development
Despite his keen attitude and willingness to work, Chris has struggled to find employment due to his learning difficulties and added support needs. Morgan Sindall have provided part time employment as a labourer at Accrington Town Square to assist in Chris’s personal development.

Alder Hey Children’s Hospital – Progress Update May 2025
Work is progressing well at the Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust’s new Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The steel frame, metal decking, and concrete floors are complete. The façade is now nearing completion, with brickwork installed, the majority of cladding panels fitted, and render installation due to begin shortly.

Morgan Sindall Appointed to Paddington Village Hemisphere – March 2025
Sciontec has appointed Morgan Sindall Construction as preferred contractor for its HEMISPHERE One laboratory and workspace development in Liverpool. The £61m, 117,190 net sq ft development will be located at Paddington Village, Liverpool City Council’s flagship development site in the city’s Knowledge Quarter innovation district. It will ultimately offer a combined net total 216,693 sq ft of chemistry labs, data labs, bio labs and innovation labs, alongside incubator space, grow-on and commercial lab space.
Morgan Sindall Begins work on Paddington Village South – September 2024
Liverpool City Council has begun work on Paddington South, the next phase in the city’s flagship, mixed-use £1bn Knowledge Quarter Liverpool (KQ Liverpool) development, in collaboration with the University of Liverpool. Morgan Sindall Construction has been selected to undertake master planning and enabling works to ensure the £300m site is plot-ready for future developments. This builds upon the circa £120m works previously delivered by Morgan Sindall at the Paddington Village Central site.

Morgan Sindall Appointed to Riverside School, Wirral – Feb 2025
The education environment at Riverside Primary School in Seacombe is set to be transformed following the appointment of Morgan Sindall Construction to deliver a rebuild of the existing school buildings. Riverside Primary School caters for 210 pupil places for ages 4-11 with an additional 34 nursery places for ages 2-4. Additionally, Wirral Council also fund an additional 16 places for pupils with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. The appointment via the Department for Education’s (DfE) construction framework is one of 518 projects identified within DfE’s School Rebuilding Programme.
