Krol Corlett

Krol Corlett has been named Downtown in Business’ Business of the Month for September 2026, recognising more than five decades of construction expertise, continued growth and its significant contribution to communities across the region.

Established more than 50 years ago, Krol Corlett has grown into an award-winning construction business delivering projects across healthcare, education, heritage, residential, commercial and industrial sectors. The company has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality developments while placing long-term relationships and community impact at the heart of its work.

2026 has already been a particularly busy year for the business. Krol Corlett was appointed as the main contractor for the new Little Lights Baby Hospice in West Derby, a £6m development which will create a purpose-built facility providing specialist care and support for babies, young children and their families. Work began earlier this year, with completion scheduled for early 2027.

The project is particularly significant for Krol Corlett because of its strong commitment to supporting children’s hospice care across the Liverpool City Region. The company has worked closely with Little Lights and other local charities for a number of years, combining its construction expertise with fundraising and community support.

That commitment to social value extends across the business. Krol Corlett has continued to support organisations including Woodlands Hospice, Claire House Children’s Hospice and Nugent, with its team regularly taking part in fundraising challenges and community initiatives. The company is also headline sponsor of Nugent’s 2026 Sleep Out Challenge, taking place in September.

The business has also continued to strengthen its position within the wider regeneration sector. Earlier this year, Krol Corlett renewed and significantly expanded its partnership with Downtown in Business, increasing its involvement in major property and regeneration activity including MIPIM, UKREiiF and the Northern Power Towns campaign.

Krol Corlett’s work demonstrates the important role that construction businesses can play in supporting economic growth while delivering tangible benefits for local communities. From major regeneration schemes to healthcare and community facilities, its projects are helping to shape the places where people live, work and grow.
