Spring Delights at Malmaison Bar & Grill: A Culinary Journey Through the Season

Malmaison Bar & Grill recently unveiled its eagerly awaited spring menu, promising an exquisite culinary experience that celebrates the essence of springtime. We tried out a range of dishes from the all new Spring menu each bursting with vibrant flavours and promising to tantalize the taste buds! Here’s our thoughts on our delightful journey through their spring menu.

As spring begins to bloom across Liverpool, there’s no better time to indulge in the fresh flavours of the season! Nestled by the city’s famous docks, Malmaison Bar & Grill recently unveiled its eagerly awaited spring menu, promising an exquisite culinary experience that celebrates the essence of springtime.

Well here at Downtown we’ll never say no to some fine dining and we jumped at the chance to nip out for some lunch and savour these all-new culinary offerings!

We tried out a range of dishes from the all-new Spring menu each bursting with vibrant flavours and promising to tantalize the taste buds!

Here’s our thoughts on our delightful journey through their spring menu.

Our culinary adventure began with Beef Brisket Bites with Smoked tomato chutney. This dish certainly wowed as the succulent pulled beef was complemented perfectly by the tang of the chutney!

We also sampled Malmaison’s Brioche with whipped smoked butter. If you’re looking for a starter that isn’t too heavy, this dish gave a great blend of flavours with the freshly baked Brioche pairing perfectly with the cool refreshment of the butter, setting the perfect tone for more fantastic dishes to come!

Moving on to the main course, the B and G Burger with Gruyere and Ayrshire Bacon and fries stole the spotlight- very hearty and very satisfying if you’re looking to fill up! Nestled between a fluffy brioche roll, the beef and bacon were cooked to perfection. Accompanied by melted cheese and the signature B&G relish and salad with a side of fries, each bite was a culinary triumph, leaving us thoroughly impressed.

We also tested out the Boneless half Chicken with parmesan, fine beans and pesto dressed salad, perfect for a lighter lunch. Each bite brought new earthy flavours and a satisfying combination of crunchy and soft textures. Whether you’re usually a salad person or not, we highly recommend this one, it’s sure to leave you craving more!

Sides-wise, the Tenderstem Broccoli was a clear winner. The fresh broccoli shoots were cooked in garlic and just a hint of chilli, giving a refreshing burst of flavour heightened by the subtle infusion of spice!

But of course we can’t forget about the Garlic Portobello Mushrooms, the classic combination of mushrooms and garlic always produces a great flavour, and Malmaison’s take on the dish was no exception! If you’re a mushroom lover then each spoonful is pure bliss – a fitting finale to our gastronomic journey!

Needless to say, we certainly didn’t leave Malmaison hungry! We’d like to thank the lovely staff there for our wonderful fine dining experience. The impeccable craftsmanship and attention to detail that went into each dish, from the cool flavours of the Brioche and butter to the unusual combination of broccoli with a hint of spice, was a testament to the culinary prowess of the chefs.

In every dish, Malmaison Bar & Grill manages to achieve their aim of captures the essence of spring, infusing each meal with freshness, vibrancy, and seasonal charm! Whether you’re seeking a leisurely lunch or a decadent dinner, their spring menu doesn’t disappoint, managing to surprise at every turn!
